  • Social Communication Platform

Product Concept:

FAM is an invitation only social communication platform used among large and extended families that enables users to communicate in real time with all of their family at once just as easy as they could reach out to specific segments of their family such as cousins, aunts, and grandparents.

By creating smaller and more intimate versions of social media networks on a per family basis, FAM is using the strength and power of the internet and technology not to reach more people but rather to strengthen the bond we already have with the ones we love by evolving the way we communicate with them.

Target Users:

The FAM user base is made up many different “FAMilies” which is what we call each individual deployment of the mini social network on a per family basis. Each FAMily is made up of different types of people just like everyone’s real family and is only accessible via invitation from a verified member of the family. Users could range from young nieces and nephews up to much older grandparents and great-grandparents and everything in between.

Needs & Objectives:

FAM provides an exclusive platform that families can confidently use to share private and personal messages, media and memories among the people they love. This sentiment is something that is lost on the larger more inclusive social media platforms that hundreds of millions of people know of and are a part of today.

Along with basic phone and messaging features such as the ability to make wi-fi voice and video calls, send and share photos, videos, and messages, some of the additional features of FAM include individual profile pages for each member of the family, and interactive visualizations of family trees based on family members profiles.
